Sahara Camel Trek 2013-14
Tour Code:ST (8 days)
Day 1: Arrive at Marrakech, transfer to hotel
Day 2: Drive via Tizi n Tichka, Ouarzazate and
Zagora to Ouled Driss. 1 hr walk to
Bounou. Overnight.
Day 3: Start our trek through the village. Along the
Draa river bed we carry on walking towards
Rass Enkhel camp overnight. 4 hrs walk.
Day 4; Walk east-west to Sid Naji's highest dunes.
5 hrs walk.
Day 5: Walk to Erg Zaher. 6 hrs walk.
Day 6: Walk along the plateau across Draa river bed,
pause in the Bloc, continue towards Erg
Sedrat. Overnight. 5 hrs walk.
Day 7: 4x4 adventurous transfer via Foum Zguid, Tizi
n'Tichka to Marrakech.
Day 8: Leisure in Marrakech
The ST tour is an 8-days winter trek in the Sahara Desert of Morocco. It starts running in November through til the end of April.

The cost of this tour does not include the flight.
People booking with us need to arrange their own flight .
Transport:
Our tour starts (Day1) in Marrakech and ends in Marrakech (Day 8).
Transfers from and to Marrakech Airport are included
Accomodation:
8 days and 7 nights,
2 nights in a basic hotel,
5 nights in a camp.

Be prepared to pay for drinks( water, soft drinks..)
and meals that are not included in the tour price.
Comments:
The walking of this tour is graded as easy
between 5 to 7 hours walk a day with
expected hot temperatures.

A winter trek in the Sahara, off the beaten track in the Sahara Desert where hardly any signs of civilisation prevail. A territory dominated by the Berber nomads of Ait Atta with their herds of dromedaries and goats moving across an austere terrain of golden sand dunes and vast pebbly plateaux peppered by a few accacia and tamarisk trees.
