Mgoun Trek

Day 1: Arrive at Marrakech, transfer from airport to hotel.

Day 2: Transfer to Ait Bougmez, overnight in gite.

Day 3: Start our trek down the valley and uphill to

Tafenfant plateau (2200 m) before we carry on

down to Abachkou (1700 m), overnight in camp.

Day 4: Set off walking up the Ait Bou Oauli valley

via Roughelt village to reach Roughelt

pass (2450 m.) Walk down to Iderhmam,

overnight in camp.

Day 5: Walk up to Tarkedidt plateau (2900 m),

overnight in camp.

Day 6: Ascent of the Mgoun summit (4068 m.)

Descent to Almou n Tnout (2700 m), overnight

in camp.

Day 7: Walk via Tizi n'Ait Immi (2905 m) to Ait

Bougmez valley, overnight in gite.

Day 8: Drive to Marrakech. Leisure afternoon in

Marrakech .

Day9: Transfer to Airport

The MT tour is a 9- day summer trek in the central High Atlas of Morocco. It starts running in May through till the end of October.

Flight:

The cost of this tour does not include the flight. People booking with us need to arrange their own flight.

Transport:

Our tour starts (day 1) in Marrakech and ends in (day 9) in Marrakech

Transfers from and to Marrakech airport are included.

Accomodation:

9 days and 8 nights,

2 nights in a basic hotel

2 nights in a gite

4 nights in a camp.

Walking Level:

The walking of this tour is graded as strenuous; between 5 to 8 hours walk a day and requires a high level of fitness.
